There are more than six hundred islands in Lake Ladoga, most of which are situated in its northern part. Every year one of the archipelagos of northern Ladoga attracts numerous anglers to its rocky shores. The straits and bays separating its islands shelter a large variety of fish. The complicated bottom terrain with sloping areas creates the perfect conditions for fishing.
